Requirements - Sponsors
Ok, so it's been a few weeks since my last post on the project, but I am going to continue with the User experience/front-facing portion of the application. This one, however, I want to leave open to the community how best to deal with this, if we put anything in the application at all. At the Philly CFUG site, we have two random pods for the sponsors, one local and one global. I have seen other sites just list them all. Is this something we should bother with? Is this something that should be "pod-like" so it can be added on through custom extensions of the main application? I want to any thoughts on this.

I like where you are going with this in general. I was wondering if we could have a front page that was more in the line of a "Portal" than a blog. Still list the blog information on the page and have the blog page, but a portal front end.

@John: Were you looking for something that had "layout" tags of where to put stuff like <event> or <news> type of things?

I looked at the Phili site and it looked like a nice repurposed blog. I was looking for something that looked more like a portal.

Yes, you are correct as it uses BlogCFC. I was thinking something a little more separated out and configurable. This was all first based on stuff I had done almost a year-and-a-half ago for the Philly CFUG, but that was replaced with the BlogCFC instance there now because it did most of what we needed anyways.
