Progress Update

We are making progress on the new user group manager. So far we have focused on the model aspect as while the initial release will be in Model-Glue, we want this system to support any framework and any front-end (yes, that means Flex). We are also putting together a MySQL and MSSQL script for the database and building an Access database as well. If anyone out there would like to volunteer to help with an Oracle SQL script, that would be greatly appreciated. One of the things we have done to make it as database agnostic as possible is to not utilize and sort of auto-incrementing column for primary keys but utilize UUIDs. I looked at a number of blogging software out there to get ideas as while this project is geared towards a User Group site, if done right, it will resemble many of the blogging solutions out there. Anyways, just to get some perspective, we are shooting for February 5 as having the core files setup for Beta release so hopefully with a public date, we'll move along nicely.
